Opposite Attracts Quotes

The very common popular theories when it comes to how a person should choose his partner is something that everyone has heard all the time, and that is ” Opposite Attracts”.

It may seem good having an idea such an opposite attraction but if you’re going to read some research about it,  it doesn’t actually pan out. As a matter of fact, the precise opposite of  “opposite attracts” seems to be good to be true. As what is being said, the best finding is that the more things you have  in common,  the better. There’s no actual  danger in having so many things in common with a particular person .

The relationship of a partner who has a lot of similarities or things in common, which both share the same core values and enjoys to spend more time in similar ways is seen as much likely that will last longer and has less conflict to deal with one another than those partners who are different or opposite.

However, it doesn’t mean that you should find someone who is the exact carbon copy of yourself. The most significant key points to take note of when you’re likely finding someone is that both of you have similarities to the most important things of your life.  Moreover, put in mind that real life differs hugely from those fairytale or fictional stories. You need to invest time, effort, and half of yourself to make the relationship work.

Here are the lists of fifty quotes that talk about OPPOSITE ATTRACTS.

“Together, we form a necessary paradox; not a senseless contradiction.” – Criss Jami, Healology“You were always saying you were gonna shoot him,” he mutters, but it’s kind of half-hearted. “Stupid fucking little tit, he needs a bullet in his head. What do you keep him round for, anyway?”

Because he makes me laugh. Because, fuck knows why, he adores me. Because he needs somebody to look after him and nobody else knows how. Because everything about us is wrong and I never ever want to be right. He had big blue eyes that were at war with the blue in his hair for attention—vibrant, sparkling, crystalline. His face? Defined cheekbones, full lips, straight nose and a strong jaw. Someone that’s different from you will definitely make them more likely to be interested in your eyes and draw a lot of your attention to that person.  It’s quite common already to seek out that opposites attract with each other.

According to Merriam-Webster, it defines the idiom “opposites attract” as a phrase “used to mention that folks who are very different from one another are often interested in one another.” It’s a trope that people mostly see in TV shows and films over and over again that not only applies to romantic relationships but friendships as well. Since it always makes for an excellent story arch—two people from completely different backgrounds overcoming the chances to coexist and to a more romantic extreme, have lived happily ever after. But actually, that couldn’t be beyond reality, cause the truth is you need to find someone you’re comfortable with and with some similarities between the two of you.

If there are various studies that show relationships with a partner almost like you last longer, why are then people seem so interested in a theory that tells a person to travel after someone they’ve nothing in common with? Can you truly find thrill within the story of drama? Do you have the eagerness that much that you want to prove those odds wrong?

No matter what your answer is, it’s still up to you whether you believe that the opposite is indeed always attracted to one another or it’s much better to look for someone who has a lot of common things with you.
